If you are looking for something hot, sweet and tangy, this is for you. An amazing combination that goes perfect with all snacks. A very easy to cook dip that gets ready in minutes. I remember, when I was a small kid, I would eat dozens of pooris with this chutney. I enjoy this chutney with samosas, savoury snacks and plain rotis. When I get short of vegetable, I prepare this chutney and enjoy it for several days. Let me now share this recipe with you.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes.
7-8 Tomatoes (chopped)
1 tsp Saunf (Fennel seeds)
1 tsp Panch Foran (cumin, brown mustard, fenugreek, nigella seeds and fennel)
2 red dry chilly
1 cup sugar
1/ 4 tsp butter
Heat a pan and add butter. When the butter gets melted, add the fennel seeds, dry red chilly and panch foran (5 seed ingredient) to crackle. Once the seeds start to crackle, add the chopped tomatoes and cook it covered. When the tomatoes get cooked, add sugar and mix. Cook covered for 10-15 minutes. Remove the cover and stir.
The hot, sweet and tangy chutney is ready to serve. Serve hot or keep it refrigerated and serve chill.
