Eggless Donuts


I have been waiting to share these tasty full-proof donut recipe since ages. These easy to make donuts are so delicious that no one can have just one. The best part is it is eggless. Be it a surprise visit of close friends or family, you can prepare in short time and serve these super soft and puffy donuts to make them delighted. You can have personalized glazing of your choice. Make sure to store them in a secret place as its simply irresistible.

Preparation Time:  25 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Serving: 10-15 (depending on size)


  • 2 Cups All purpose flour/ Maida
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ Milk
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Dry active yeast
  • ½ Salt
  • Oil for frying oil

For glazing donuts:

  • 2 cups Dark chocolate
  • 2 cups White chocolate
  • Sprinkles to decorate


In a small bowl, add lukewarm milk, sugar and instant dry yeast. Give a stir and keep aside to get it frothy.

In a large bowl, add all purpose flour, butter, salt and the yeast mixture. Make a stiff dough by kneading it for 8-10 minutes. Cover the dough and keep aside for half an hour.

After half an hour, the dough will become fluffy. On a flat surface, roll the dough to make a big circle with ½ inch thickness. Using a donut cutter or a round object, cut out circles from all over the dough roll. Using a small round bottle cap, make small circle inside the bigger circles. Arrange the donut dough in a large plate covered and in a warm area. You can also pre-heat a microwave and switch it off. Place the doughnut plate inside the microwave for 30 minutes. The donuts will rise to double the size.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the doughnuts on medium low heat from all sides.

Drain excess oil in a kitchen towel and set aside for cooling.

Melt the dark and white chocolates separately.

Once the donuts have cooled completely, coat the donuts with chocolates of your choice. Decorate with sprinkles. The crispy, soft and puffy donuts are ready to serve.
