Being a chocoholic, it gives me immense satisfaction baking anything out of chocolates. Its been a long since I baked the cookies, so thought of baking these amazing mocha choco chips cookies. These are the perfect partners when you have special friends or guests at home. The best part of these cookies are they are whole wheat chocolate cookies. What else does a foodie need? A perfect blend of health bhi taste bhi. Taste wise I didn’t feel any difference as compared to the one with APF (All purpose flour).
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Baking Time: 20 minutes
1 ½ cup whole wheat flour
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 tbsp instant coffee powder
¾ cup sunflower oil
¼ cup milk
½ cup dark choco chips
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp vanilla essence
Sieve all the dry ingredients ( whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and instant coffee powder) in a large bowl and keep aside.
Pre heat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
In another bowl, add oil and sugar and whisk well. I used an electric whisk to blend the mixture. Whisk them till they are light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence and mix them well.
Now add in all the dry ingredients and fold them. Add milk as required to form smooth dough. Finally, add the dark choco chips cookies and mix the dough. You can also preserve the cookie dough for future use by keeping it in the zip pouch and refrigerating.
In a baking tray, place a silicon mat or baking sheet. Take a spoonful of dough and roll it. Gently press the dough. DO the same for all the dough.
Place the tray in the oven and bake it for 12-15 minutes at 150°C.
Once done, remove the tray and place the cookies on the cooling tray. Let them cool completely.
The crunchy soft and moist mocha choco chip cookie is ready to serve.
