An extremely easy, tasty and healthy recipe for all who loves prawns. This is a kick starter for all those lazy moms like me who yearn for an urgent palate when you have surprise guests at home. This recipe hardly takes time to cook and comes out with an amazing flavours. It is healthy as it is grilled that too in very less oil. No frying and no butter and still you get a superb plate of delicacies.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Marination Time: 10 minutes (minimum)
Grilling Time: 15 – 20 minutes
400 gms prawns ( de-veined and washed)
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp red chilly powder
1 tbsp of hung curd
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp rock salt
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (powdered)
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp Mustard oil
De-vein and wash the prawns. In a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, hung curd, rock salt, black salt, black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, mustard oil and salt to the prawns and marinate them.
Pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes at 200°C. Wrap your baking tray with aluminium foil so that it doesn’t turn black on grilling. It also becomes easy to wash the baking tray post grilling. Place the marinated prawns in the tray and grill them for 10-15 minutes at 200°C.
Place them on a serving plate. Squeeze lemon juice and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with tangy chutneys and onion rings.
