Now, when you get to know so many health properties in walnut, why not eat them. So here’s a simple recipe for making an eggless chocolate walnut brownie.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Baking Time: 25 minutes
1 cup All purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
½ cup grated dark chocolate
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup Refine oil
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ cup walnut kernels
½ cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pre heat the oven at 180 °C or 356 °F.
Melt the dark chocolates in a double boiler or microwave.
In a large bowl, sieve all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk the oil and sugar till they change their color and turn fluffy.
Add the dry ingredients to the oil batter and mix. Mix using cut and fold method. Now, add in the melted chocolate and mix again. Add milk to make a smooth batter. Finally, add the vanilla extract and walnut kernels and mix.
Pour the batter in a greased pan. Place the pan in the pre-heated oven and bake for 25 minutes at 180 °C or 356 °F.
Once the brownies are ready, place them in a wire rack to cool for another 15-20 minutes.
Cut into square pieces. Dust some icing sugar over the top. Serve along with a scoop of ice-cream or drizzle some hot chocolate syrup.
